Thanks for 2016

Hi all, This is my final blog for 2016 and I wanted to take a few minutes to express my gratitude to everyone who helped make 2016 another successful year for Drakulic Photography LLC, and myself personally! I feel like I’ve grown exponentially as a photographer and as a person through all the ups and downs of this year. I owe it to all of my family, friends, and colleagues who have supported me, listened to me, hired me, put up with my nonsense at times, given me advise, referred me, or just took the time to learn a little more about what I do and what I love. Whether I did a small portrait or family session for you, a commercial or product photo shoot, a wedding, food, real estate shoot, senior portrait, or any other work, I deeply appreciate that you chose me! ¬†Thank you everyone! 2016 was a strange, sometimes turbulent, sometimes memorable year. It was definitely a year of fluctuation, personally and professionally, on so many levels.¬†Although I am admittedly a huge history buff, and put a lot of stock in using the past as a means to improve the future, I will be putting the downs of 2016 way behind and not looking back. I’ll be focusing only on positivity and forward thinking for 2017. There are HUGE goals and HUGE professional plans that myself and my business partners have for the coming year, and we look to complete these goals in some of the most unorthodox and bizarre ways (you guys know what I mean, haha!) I’ll be sharing a lot of these...

Nostalgia & Secrets at Heinz Field

Hi all, This week I’d like to share a great story about an awesome couple I had the pleasure of photographing this past weekend. I was contacted over the Thanksgiving break from a client in Florida about doing a couples portrait at Heinz Field on Dec. 17th. We exchanged several texts and she explained that they would be flying in on the 16th to specifically do the portraits on the 17th. I accepted the job, and we agreed to meet Saturday, do the contract thing, then the shoot. Usually, I get nervous about not having a deposit, or contractual work in place beforehand, but there was something about our exchange in texts that left me feeling at ease. I knew this was important to her, although I didn’t know the full story behind it… Apparently, this couple (we’ll call Mr. & Mrs. B) first became engaged at Heinz Field several years ago. Mr. B proposed to Mrs. B at a particular spot outside of the stadium. The two happily married after that in another country (which i’ll leave out,) and currently reside in Florida. Both are humongous Steelers fans, and both are now expecting their 1st child. Mrs. B contacted me to do the baby announcement photos in the EXACT location where she was proposed to! They came all the way back to Pittsburgh just to do this session, so cool! At this point, I’m sure you are asking why I am leaving out their names and other info. It is because they are going to make the announcement publicly to family and friends on Jan. 5th, after her...

Updates on the Website

Happy Thursday everyone, I hope that everyone is trying to stay warm throughout this cold spell in the Pittsburgh area over the last few days. Personally, I like the seasonal changes and the snow and cold often invigorates me. I usually end up doing more landscape photography in the winter than any other season. This week, I’ll simply direct you take a look around the updated website. As I discussed previously, photographic prints are an awesome Christmas gift for the lover of photography in your life. If you are unsure about pricing…just ask! I’ve updated my Travels, Landscapes, and Abstractions categories recently so if you see anything you like give me a shout over the next few days (bobby@drakulicphotography.com) and I’ll be happy to print you out a unique gift. Thanks! As always comments, questions, suggestions, and critiques are welcome!...

Chocowinity, NC Part 2

Happy Tuesday all, With Christmas just a few short weeks away, I am offering sales on all photographic prints from my weekly blogs and website. Theres a wide variety of specialized printing that I can offer; metallic prints, canvases, and photo books are just a few. Prints are a great gift for decorating any room, and they are more affordable than you may think. Nothing is more fulfilling to me as a photographer/artist than knowing someone enjoys your work so much that they want it hanging in their office or home! If you know someone who’s into boating (this, and prints from last weeks blog) may be a pretty unique gift. Perhaps you have a Steeler or Redsox fan in your life, theres 2 super cool shots I got from both stadiums in the Architecture/Real Estate gallery. Maybe you know someone who enjoys landscapes or abstract art, theres galleries for both of those as well. Take a look around the site! Email, text, or call me for more info at: bobby@drakulicphotography.com or 724-433-9142. I will need all print orders by December 19th to ensure I can get them back to you by Christmas. This weeks blog is Part 2 of the Chocowinity, NC trip we took a few weeks ago. Included are a few images of some sunken ships, the Cypress Landing Marina, and an abandoned home in the middle of a cotton field that reminds me of Jennys house from the movie Forest Gump. The trip was for visiting family during Thanksgiving (thanks again Ambray and Jerry,) which we did. However, I couldn’t resist grabbing the camera and...
